Measles

State public health officials confirmed a measles case Wednesday in a Weld County infant, the 27th case of the year. The child was too young for the MMR vaccine, and the family had recently traveled internationally. Others may have been exposed Oct. 21-25 at healthcare facilities in Evans and Greeley, including Monfort Family Clinic, UCHealth Greeley Hospital and Banner North Colorado Medical Center, and Longmont Leader reported the exposure sites. The Wrap

A northern flicker made a photographer's walk through Lafayette's Autumn Ash Park a little better this week. Flickers are woodpeckers, but you may spot one on the ground, using a slightly curved bill to probe for ants and beetles. Look down on your next lap through the leaves. Worth a peek.
