GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Former Lafayette city administrator Fritz Sprague, known for his passionate, hands-on leadership during the pandemic and a 2020 cyberattack, died in October after a 3½-year battle with glioblastoma—he served the community for three decades. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Gatehouse on Dec. 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and his family asks for donations to local nonprofits in lieu of flowers. Colorado Hometown Weekly
LIFESTYLE NEWS
- ➤ This week several community events will take place across Erie, Lafayette, Louisville and Superior, featuring birthday-level fun such as dinosaur crafts, photography talks, storytimes, makerspace drop-ins and art workshops at local libraries, museums and theaters.
