GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Boulder County officials say a structural budget deficit means spending will soon outpace revenue so they plan to cut about 90 jobs and not fill vacancies to save $30—$40 million over the next three years. Public meetings are scheduled today and a public hearing on October 14 will let community members share feedback. Boulder County
- ➤ Three City Council candidate forums will be held in October at City Hall—hosts include the Chamber of Commerce on Oct 9, the League of Women Voters on Oct 13, and the Youth Advisory Committee on Oct 15 to give voters a chance to hear from ten candidates for four open seats ahead of the Nov 4 election.
