- ➤ Health officials warn that West Nile virus cases are 40% higher than normal this season, with Colorado reporting 150 cases and Fort Collins showing a high rate of infected mosquitoes—residents in Lafayette are advised to wear long sleeves and use EPA-registered insect repellent to stay safe.
