GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Lafayette Police Chief Rick Bashor—who began as a volunteer reserve officer and was named chief in 2010—will retire on Oct. 9 after nearly 43 years with the department. He oversaw the department's growth from 18 to 51 officers during his career.  Colorado Hometown Weekly
  • Rocky Mountain Equality will host a Boulder Valley School Board candidate forum from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Equality Center of the Rocky Mountains, 3340 Mitchell Lane—four candidates including Nicole Rajpal, Ana Temu Otting, Deann Bucher and Jeffrey Anderson will attend this in-person event.  Colorado Hometown Weekly
