EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Boulder Valley school board will meet today at 5 p.m. at the Education Center to review proposed changes to school attendance boundaries aimed at balancing enrollment among shrinking schools—shifting a Gunbarrel area from Crest View to Heatherwood and adjusting zones to affect about 150 students. Some local families have protested the changes while the board plans to approve them before open enrollment begins in November. Colorado Hometown Weekly
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Volunteers and law enforcement officials celebrated the 25th anniversary on Monday of Boulder County Sheriff’s Office’s Restorative Justice Program — a system that gives an alternative for low-level offenses through community agreements and reparations. Coordinator Devi Suess said the program will continue to help offenders make amends with community service, apology letters, or deputy ride-alongs. Colorado Hometown Weekly
