Here's your local news at a glance for Saturday, the 31st of May.
Good morning, Lafayette.
🏛️ Government
Boulder County Commissioners said the DHS website has wrongly listed their county—including Lafayette—as a sanctuary jurisdiction and that they have not received any formal notification.
They stressed that the county always follows federal immigration law and upholds due process under the U.S. Constitution — rejecting language meant to intimidate local officials.
Boulder County has finished drafting its Vision Zero Action Plan aimed at reducing traffic fatalities and serious injuries and is inviting public feedback via an online survey available until June 15.
The plan, developed with Lafayette & Superior, relies on crash data and community input to set safety priorities for the coming years.
