- ➤ Boulder County is accepting nominations for the 2025 Conservation Awards—nominations for achievements in land conservation, environmental stewardship, community connections, and cultural preservation close on June 13, and the awards will be presented on Sept. 23 at 3 p.m. at the Parks and Open Space headquarters. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Boulder County has opened applications for the Strategic Fuels Mitigation Grants — offering $2 million in funds to local agencies and organizations for forest and grassland wildfire mitigation projects. Applicants must submit proposals by June 6. Boulder County
- ➤ Boulder County's Public Works Department awarded five grants totaling $100,000 to local organizations for circular economy projects—recipients include the Latino Chamber of Commerce, Green Girl Recycling, Eco-Cycle, Bridge House and Pig & Pearl Secondhand. The funds come from the county’s Sustainability Tax approved by voters in 2019 and the next grant cycle will open later this summer. Boulder County
