- ➤ Boulder County’s Community Forestry Sort Yards will soon open for the free drop-off of tree branches, logs and yard waste for county residents. The Nederland site will operate from April 30 through November 15 and the Meeker Park location will open May 7 with both open Wednesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.—closures apply on June 19 for Juneteenth and July 4 for the Fourth of July holiday. - ➤ Boulder County residents including those in Lafayette can sign up for Switch Together - a free group buying program that makes it easier to install rooftop solar, battery storage and EV chargers, and the final day to sign up is June 18; nearly 1,000 households have already joined.
