ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Five small agricultural burn projects are planned near Superior and Louisville from March 31 through April 4 by Boulder County Parks and Open Space and the Sheriff’s Office Fire Management Program to remove unwanted vegetation and conduct research—projects will only proceed if weather conditions are favorable. Fire managers will monitor the burns which may produce dark smoke from cattail fires. Boulder County
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ County officials and planners opened the Fourmile Canyon Creek Trail Underpass that links the Fourmile Canyon Creek Path to the Cottonwood Trail as part of the LoBo trail system. The project was built with help from BNSF—which finished its first phase in late 2023—and includes a pathway connection, landscape restoration, and a planned ribbon-cutting ceremony this summer.
