- ➤ Boulder County Parks & Open Space is seeking volunteers for Walker Ranch Homestead, Altona Schoolhouse, and Mining Museum Guides to lead history programs, school trips, and museum tours. Interested volunteers must apply by April 1 and attend trainings in mid-April, in late April or early May, and on May 4 for the respective roles. Boulder County
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Lafayette City Council approved two sustainability initiatives that give local businesses and apartment complexes a $1,150 rebate to start a recycling program and a $330 rebate for indoor waste containers — officials said the plan will help 30 new businesses join the program in 2025. Elizabeth Bocon, the city’s sustainability director, explained that the measures build on last year’s successful ordinance requiring recycling service participation. Colorado Hometown Weekly
