Tap II/III

About this event

Our tap classes explore the fundamentals of tap technique and terminology, with an emphasis on musicality and coordination. These classes incorporate both classic Broadway tap and rhythm tap, develop coordination, and a sense of understanding rhythms and synchronizations of taps with music. We explore both the elegant and graceful styles like Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, and Ginger Rogers to dancing hoofers like Gregory Hines and Savion Glover, and even the popular steps that you might see in Tap Dogs, Stomp, ‘Bring in ‘da Noise, Bring in ‘da Funk’ or even steps from the popular penguin movie, Happy Feet. Tap will definitely give you a physical and mental workout. We offer these classes for ages 6 through advanced adults. Dress Code: Any color leotard or dance tank top with black shorts, leggings or jazz pants, black tap shoes. NO street clothes. Hair pulled back out of face.
