About this event
The Music Department's Jazz & American Improvised Music Faculty perform with special guest, saxophonist Dominic Lalli. Best known as one half of the live electronic duo Big Gigantic, Lalli is a dynamic performer, songwriter, instrumentalist, and producer whose ability to weave through styles and genres creates a purely unique sonic experience. “I have so many different feelings, and there’s no way one style can possibly define how I feel,” he states. “It all comes from the same place though. I want to put out something that people can emotionally relate to and use as a soundtrack to their lives. For me, the sax is my voice. If I lead with that, I’m able to do different things at a higher level." Lalli will perform with MSU Denver faculty Sam Williams, soprano/alto sax; Shane Endsley, trumpet; Dave Devine, guitar; Patrick McDevitt, bass; and Dru Heller, drums.
All Music Department events are FREE to MSU Denver Students, Faculty, and Staff.
