About this event
A Warm Gathering Around Art & Story
Reclaiming Our Overlapping Circles
Modern life isolates us in two directions: we are over-convenienced yet under-imposed-upon. As the arcs of our daily routines expand, our work, church, creative pursuits, and friendships increasingly drift into separate spheres. Yet we were made for something deeper—to share physical space, break bread, cultivate beauty, and weave the scattered circles of our lives back together. Housemoot is an invitation to step away from digital noise and gather face-to-face for a day of shared imagination, hospitable fellowship, and the renewal of local creative community.

WHAT IS A HOUSEMOOT?
In 2023, the Rabbit Room launched a small experiment called Housemoot. The goal was not simply to create another digital conference, but to encourage the renewal of local creative communities—gatherings where people could meet face to face to share meals, stories, music, ideas, and friendship.
What We’ll Experience Together
Our day will be shaped by opportunities to cultivate beauty, find rest, and deepen our connections through art, story, and fellowship. The day unfolds in two parts—a morning dedicated to philosophical thought and engaging dialogue, and an afternoon focused on creative exploration and artistic expression. You’re welcome to join us for either portion or stay for the whole day!
Shared Liturgies & Teaching: Filmed teaching sessions and communal prayers to give shape and meaning to our time together.
Music & Shared Song: Live music and communal singing to draw us into gratitude and reflection.
Spoken Word & Storytelling: Shared tales and fables that spark imagination and invite conversation.
Guided Dialogue & Reflection: Thoughtful prompts to move beyond small talk and into meaningful connection.
Hands-on Artistry: Quiet, reflective spaces for creative exploration through coloring and prayerful art.
Hospitality & Fellowship: Unhurried conversations around the table, new friendships, and warm drinks shared in good company.
