About this event
Cat Fest Colorado, celebrating all things "cat," returns to Denver Sunday, Nov. 15 at the National Western Expo Hall. Hosted by Dana Cain Events, this year's festival features an expanded, sold out show floor, nearly 20 cat adoption booths, and more celebrity cats! The day of feline fun also includes a Kitten Yoga area, Cat Video Cafe, a TICA Cat Show, Nathan the CatLady, a cat art show, an Egyptian Cat Temple, a cat toy craft station, free face painting, and a full schedule of Main Stage events.
Cats are the main attraction here, and there will be plenty for the audience to meet. Seventeen local rescue agencies jumped on Cat Fest's offer for a "free booth" to showcase adoptable cats. Adoptions are always a main focus at Cat Fest Colorado, and 690 cats have found their forever homes through the event since 2022. In addition to those cats, TICA (The International Cat Association) will be hosting a Cat Show featuring dozens MORE cats who can be visited in their benching area. TICA is also hosting Breed Meet-and-Greets for the audience to pet and get info on several popular and exotic breeds.
This year's guest list is topped off by Nathan the CatLady, comedian and cat enthusiast with more than 1,000,000 followers on social media. Nathan will be onstage at 12:00 noon and available for meet-and-greets at his booth throughout the day. Celebrity cats this year include Finn the adventure cat from @Finncredibleadventure who will be at his meet-and-greet booth all day and on the main stage with his human for a Q&A at 2:00 pm. Other celebrity cats include Baloo from @HenrytheColoradoDog and Xeli the Therapy Cat. Artist Heilig will also be on hand doing live cat art painting demos at 11:30, 1:30 and 3:30.
Cat Fest celebrates the magical nature of cats with a Mystical Egyptian Cat Temple. Embellished with 8-ft tall Cat Goddess statues, it's an area where attendees may get a tarot reading, visit with a pet psychic, or pay homage to their cats who have crossed over by adding their names or photos to the golden Memory Wall. Attendees can also enjoy the Cat Video Cafe, where multiple large TV screens play non-stop cat videos while you grab lunch and sip on a Meowgarita.
There are plenty of ways for cat lovers to be part of the fun, with kitten yoga sessions, a craft station, free face painting, and more. Artists young and old can also enter work into the Memorial Louis Wain Cat Art Show. All entertainment and activities (except food and adoption fees) are included with the admission ticket price.
Cat Fest Colorado is sponsored by the Yellow Rose Cat Club, TICA (The International Cat Association), Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Products, EveryCat Health Foundation, and CatsOnly.vet, all of whom will be at the festival.
Admission to Cat Fest is $20. Family 4-packs are just $72 until Nov. 13. Kids age 5 and under are admitted free of charge. VIP passes ($35) include early entry and a souvenir cat ear headband. Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door. Hours: 11:00am-5pm, Sunday, Nov. 15. Get details and tickets at www.CatFestCO.com.
