About this event
First Friday Community & Live Music | Presented by AOPYO
TheRAPy Sessions: She Who Won’t Be Named
A unique, curated all-ages musical experience centered on mental health and community resilience.
TheRAPy Sessions returns this First Friday with a voice that’s been shaping Denver’s creative scene for years.
She Who Won’t Be Named, born Imani Allen in Memphis, is a Denver-based hip-hop artist and community
builder whose soulful lyricism and purpose-driven leadership have made her one of the city’s most respected
creative forces since she arrived in 2016.
Her sound is rooted in introspection, courage, and personal growth — shaped by her Memphis upbringing and a
lifelong love of writing. Projects like Flower Child From Memphis showcase her reflective style, smooth
delivery, and thoughtful storytelling. Beyond the mic, she’s the creator of Inner Circle, Denver’s beloved weekly
open-mic space, and the founder of NXT GEN, a youth-focused showcase built on live bands, free food, and
hands-on community activities. Through DCI: Dream Create Inspire, she’s brought music and creative
programming into neighborhoods across Denver, performing at spaces like the Denver Art Museum and
Anythink Libraries to make art accessible to all ages.
This session, we’re partnering with Tessa Delicatessen and featuring art from Visual Goodies to bring this
community gathering to life.
