The Producers

About this event

Mel Brooks’ Tony Award-winning musical comedy is a riotous celebration of Broadway at its most outrageous. Down-on-his-luck producer Max Bialystock and his timid accountant Leo Bloom hatch a get-rich-quick scheme: raise far more money than they need for a sure-fire flop, then run off with the difference when it closes on opening night. The only problem? Their guaranteed disaster — a gleefully tasteless musical called “Springtime for Hitler” — becomes the surprise hit of the season. Bursting with show-stopping numbers, uproarious one-liners, and big Broadway spectacle, The Producers is a love letter to the theatre and one of the funniest musicals ever written.
