Firehouse Art Center - Finding the Art Spirit

A Living Encounter with the Art Spirit: Connecting with your Creative Voice

Inspired by the great Robert Henri's Art Spirit, this hand-on workshop explores creativity and personal vision over perfection. We start with an introduction of Robert Henri and a discussion about creativity and self-expression. We then explore our own Art Spirits using Henri's approach, sketching and then painting a simple still-life focusing on compositional areas, color and brushstrokes. During the workshop, you'll discover "that wonderful state which makes art inevitable."
