Basic Bob Ross Class

About this event

Classes are held in Hope Blakely’s professional working art studio and gallery in Arvada, Colorado—the same creative space where Hope paints, teaches, and displays original artwork. Create a Bob Ross-style landscape on a 16 × 20 canvas while learning the building blocks that make the wet-on-wet technique work. You’ll practice soft blending, cloud and sky effects, mountain shapes, reflections and water, evergreen trees, depth, and controlled brush and palette-knife work. The class painting provides our shared direction, but each student’s colors, brushwork, and details will naturally make the finished painting their own. Beginners are welcome, and returning painters can use the class to strengthen familiar techniques and ask questions along the way. All painting supplies are included, including the canvas, paint, use of brushes, and aprons if needed. You’ll take your finished painting home at the end of class.
