About this event
"Trachten Nacht" is a special themed evening at Christmas markets, particularly in Germany and Austria, where traditional attire and customs take center stage. The term "Trachten" refers to traditional clothing, like Lederhosen for men and Dirndls for women. On this night, market-goers dress up in these classic outfits, celebrating regional heritage and folklore. The atmosphere is festive, often featuring folk music, dancing, and sometimes traditional Bavarian or Alpine games.
