About this event

For people who are just beginning their books or who are struggling with their book’s direction. Through structured but creative prompts, we will outline the reader’s journey that will shape your book for greatest impact while giving you a clear path for getting your book written. This highly interactive workshop makes use of community sharing and cartooning (no experience or "talent" required!) as a tool of writing. Open to all genres. Limited to 8 participants.

Nina (she/her) is a certified nonfiction book coach, playwright, producer and community builder in metro Denver. With a PhD in English from Northwestern, she taught at the university level for 15 years. She spent seven years as an arts educator in community and K-12 settings, including at Colorado Ballet (Director of Education & Outreach) and Performing Art Works, a life-skills non-profit that she co-founded. For ten years, Nina was an international development professional helping to provide water and sanitation access across Latin America, Africa and India (Water For People). Along the way, she wrote a 300-page book of literary cultural history (published by Oxford University Press) and many scholarly articles. Nina maintains an individual book coaching practice and is co-founder and co-director of The Hub for Nonfiction, which serves nonfiction writers with workshops and group coaching.
