What is a Living Advent Calendar?

Gather with 23(?) other friends and share in the season of giving!

Here’s how it works:

We would like twenty-four people to join the party! Each of you is asked to select a gift that you would like to bring as one of the advent calendar gifts. You are to bring 24 of these identical items. Wrap them up so that your 24 gifts all look the same and contain the same gift. You will be assigned a number and asked to label your gifts with that number & include your name as the giver if you choose. For example, if you get #7, each lady attending the party will receive one of your gifts and will open it on December 7th.

The gifts should not be expensive. It would be fantastic if the gift that you select reveals a bit about yourself. A few examples: a recipe that your family makes over the holiday season, a thought for the day, your favorite saying, a poem that you wrote, a small piece of delicious chocolate or caramel, a small quantity of jam that you made, seeds to plant, an exquisite little soap, a small craft that you've made, etc.

The timeline would look like this:

• RSVP through Nov. 1st so we know who and how many will be participating

• Once we have 24 confirmed participants, we will assign each of you a number. Please indicate this number (and name if you wish) on each of your gifts

• Start thinking about what your contribution will be and prepare 24 identical gifts.

• You will bring your 24 gifts (or however many to accommodate those that have signed up) to the party along with a large bag/box/basket in which you will collect 24 gifts.

• We will meet for a Creative Endeavors Party to exchange our advent gifts! Cake and Hot Cocoa will be provided.

This is a chance to introduce yourself if you are new to the neighborhood and a chance to visit with old friends. Looking forward to getting to know you and to a great kick off to this holiday season.

*Please don't hesitate to join- we will make any number of people work! This Event is for RSVP ONLY! Please let us know if you will join by 11/1/2026 so we can prepare for the correct number of people!

The party will take place on November 19th from 1pm-3pm
