Cactus at Sunset — Bob Ross Class

Join Hope Blakely for Cactus at Sunset, Bob Ross Series 8, Episode 10. Working in oils on a black 16 × 20 canvas, we’ll build the glowing red-orange sunset, distant desert shapes, silhouetted cactus forms, and reflective foreground using classic Bob Ross wet-on-wet techniques. Students will practice working over a dark surface, blending warm sunset color, creating soft transitions, building depth with value, painting cactus silhouettes and desert vegetation, and adding highlights and reflections without overworking the scene. Beginners are welcome, and exact copying is not required—each painter will create their own version of the desert sunset. All painting supplies are included in the $65 class cost, including the black 16 × 20 canvas, paint, and use of brushes. Ages 14+. Class size is limited to 6 painters.
