ARTIST STATEMENT

In the Land of FinderKeeper it all really does happen.

Tuesday’s water is too hot and tastes of sulfur. Sunday’s water, however, bubbles giddily with a hint of mint and cocoa. The Dweller Majority agrees, Tuesday is Waterday.

There is wild Hope in the fields beyond the city’s outer gates. It must be harvested in the inky black of un-day when the Stumbles are rowdy and roaming.

Pecking, squawking, jeering and cawing, all manner of winged things rule the air. The good ones tenderly heed the clouds, stopping to fluff and puff them before continuing on through the dense and grainy medium.

Truly, it is muggy. Mugger, in fact. But the crystal days come when the need is great and when the time is full. Seafoam and Shinesong are the days of Blue Crystal.

Parades are involuntary. To avoid or escape a Parade, that’s the real trick.

Though unscheduled, the Occurrences are oddly regular. The Dwellers call it a Throw Together. Each participant perceives his own role, of course, but all other aspects of the Occurrence are stubbornly draped in the deep velvet of unknowing.

Tools and implements are limited in the land. Most found things are wielded as weapons. The Repairers weep as they continue to make their humble repairs. With their hands.

In the Land of FinderKeeper it all really does happen.
